In one of their most recent research studies, SevenJackpots disclosed actual data on the real-life gaming preferences of Indian fans of online casino entertainment. The study examined which games are the highest rated and “how much India is subjected to global influences that define the gaming industry.”
The analyzed statistics, which span the first 10 months of 2022, contain data on one of the top international casino platforms in India’s aggregate real money turnovers and anonymous active user traffic.
Online roulette games are by far the most popular among desi real money casino players, with the exception of the very broad category of live game shows. Over the course of the analysis period, they accounted for nearly a quarter, or 22.91%, of all operator turnovers.
However, when we look at the final three months of the sample (August through October 2022), we can find that online roulette games have now generated 26.79% of the trimester’s earnings, having crossed the quarter-mark.
For the whole ten-month period, game shows, the most popular type of casino gambling, accounted for almost a third of operator turnovers (34.48%); during the final three months, their share fell little to 32.81%.
Any Game Could Be Turned Into A Show
As long as the game is presented by a live game presenter, streamed live from a casino studio, and includes new bonuses or other added elements beyond the standard game versions, it can be classified as a game show.
The adaptability of this broad live casino genre is demonstrated by game shows like Monopoly Live, which is based on the well-known board game, or Crazy Time, which combines inspiration from the classic Wheel of Fortune TV show with bonus games including real coin flips, Plinko walls, and a virtual board game.
Based on the factual data analysis, the most popular roulette game is actually filling the void between game shows and traditional roulette tables. It’s called Lightning Roulette, and it was created by the Swedish firm Evolution, who has produced the game shows Crazy Time, Monopoly Live, and Dream Catcher.
The only difference between Lightning Roulette and other traditional European roulette games is that Lightning Roulette features animated lightning that strikes a few “lucky numbers,” which can result in extra rewards of up to 500 times on straight up bets.
With a 13.94% contribution, Lightning Roulette leads all other individual games by turnover as shown by the SevenJackpots chart. This is more than double the turnovers produced by Crazy Time, the game that came in second.
In addition, Lightning Roulette has a little larger percentage of non-unique (repeat) users (33.61%) than Crazy Time (33.47%).
