Join Jim Kundzicz, the Friends of Myles Standish State Forest, and Wildlands Trust for a winter Astronomy Night at Davis-Douglas Farm! Beginning with an indoor talk with Jim in the Community Conservation Barn, you’ll learn about the night sky and what we’ll be looking for outside. Then we’ll head out to view an almost full moon before dusk, Mars, the Pleiades and Beehive Star Clusters, the Orion Nebular, and the Andromeda Galaxy using Jim’s high powered telescope. The Barn will remain open so you can warm up with hot chocolate!
All ages are welcome to come and go during the hours of 5:00 – 7:30 pm, but please arrive by 5:00 if you’d like to take part in the indoor presentation.
Rain date March 9.
