We’ll set sail about 6pm . So please arrive at 530 if you can. Then we’ll paddle to the opposite end of the pond to watch the sunset on the water. Then we’ll paddle up back to the landing arriving about 800 right before the light leaves the sky. I’ll make updates to each weeks event as we get closer. Please check this posting the week of the event for changes.
1 – The event is at Long Pond in Plymouth Google Maps brought me right there. It’s right off rt3 (exit 3 Clark Rd). You can’t get any easier than that. Read the signs – they have arrows and are accurate. Click on the link in the App. people who enter the address manually seem to have a tough time finding the place.
2 – I will be providing some instruction if you want it. But this is NOT a beginner event.
3 – Parking is free.
4 – You’re welcome to bring your own boards or kayaks. You can rent one from me for $35 for the 2 hours. NO first timers on this trip please. If you’re renting from me you can either prepay or give me cash the night of. Just don’t cancel the day of. I can’t have any no-shows. Mainly because I cannot leave an unused board or kayak alone at the boat ramp while I’m out for 2 hours on the water. Text me if you want to rent. I prefer cash but I can send you a venmo or paypal link . I have 15 Kayaks and 7 Boards available for rent with with paddles, PFDs and leashes. Bring your own water.
5. It’s about a 2-3 mile paddle. It’ll take about 2 hours. Depending on the wind it can be a Good workout.
6. Weather considerations – I will cancel if the winds are too high or if we expect heavy rain. Light rain is no problem. It’s summer for Pete’s sake. Unless you’re a witch you shouldn” melt. 🙂
