Scattered with coastal plain ponds and varying glacial topography, Halfway Pond Conservation Area is quite a unique place to explore. Join Wildlands Trust’s AmeriCorps member Hayley Leonard on a hike through the upland forests of the conservation area’s west side on Gramp’s Loop. Learn about the different species and interesting natural features that can be found there.

Dogs are welcome but must remain on-leash and under the owner’s control at all times. All ages able to walk 2 miles are welcome.

No registration is required for this event. Please arrive at 9:45 am for a 10:00 hike start. Participation is limited to the first 30 people who arrive.

Parking:

From Long Pond Rd., follow Mast Rd. for about 2 miles. After you pass the entrance to Camp Wind in the Pines, the parking area for Halfway Pond Conservation Area will be on the right.
