Grab your gloves and prepare to get a little messy! Join us as we make custom hypertufa garden containers! Hypertufa pots are fun and easy to make using a combination of portland cement, perlite, peat moss, and water. They are made to simulate tufa stone, a porous limestone rock that creates excellent environments for growing plants due to its ability to hold little pockets of moisture. While the containers may look like stone, they are lighter and easy to move around your garden. In this class, you’ll learn the step-by-step process of creating these beautiful planters.
Please bring a small box or container (no greater in size or volume of a large shoebox) to use as a mold. Note that once your pot is complete it will have to dry. You can pick it up 1-2 weeks later.
