At around 6:00 pm, in costume and to the beat of a drum, Pilgrim Progress will walk from North Street, moving down Water Street past Plymouth Rock, up Leyden Street and continue to Town Square. This historical walk re-creates the Pilgrims’ procession to church and will end at Burial Hill, where a short Pilgrim worship service will take place at the site of the original fort/meeting house.
First instituted in 1921 as a part of the Town’s Tercentenary Celebration, the procession has become a town tradition. We would love to have you join us!
We will follow the same route we always do: walking past Plymouth Rock, up Leyden Street to the top of Burial Hill for a short Pilgrim worship service, returning back along Main Street to North Street, back to the Mayflower Society House.
This event is rain or shine. In the case of severe weather, the ceremony will be held on the Mayflower Society porch.
We guessed the end time of this event.
