Edaville was one of the first heritage railroads in the United States. Event hours will be Saturday 11am-5pm, and Sunday 11am-4pm.
(PLEASE NOTE: this is a celebration of the two foot gauge railroad history at Edaville. The amusement park will be closed for this event, therefore rides and Thomas will NOT be running)
eatured will be steam excursions using original Edaville Railroad steam locomotive #3 (courtesy of the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad). #3 will be operating on the remaining portions of the original main line, which is seldom used. #3’s train will depart the station at 12pm and 2pm each day, embarking on an approximately 1-hour and 45-minute trip into history. Tickets are $50 per person.
Operating a second train starting at 11:30, will be Edaville steam locomotive #11, making frequent departures throughout the day on a shorter 2-mile-long journey. The last park loop train will depart at approximately 3:15. All ticket holders have access to excursions with #11. Included with your ticket will also be same day access to other activities and displays on the grounds. Activities and displays include a slideshow presentation of Edaville throughout the years, presentations on Edaville’s historic and unique signal system, live steam engines, model railroad layouts, and antique equipment such as trucks, tractors, and cars. Food will also be available for purchase onsite.
