Join us for a slow-paced nature walk at Myles Standish with Blake Dinius, a local Entomologist from Plymouth County Extension. On this walk, the focus will be insects!

If you enjoy the beauty of the natural world, you can thank insects for keeping it that way. They’re responsible for supporting over 80% of flowering plants and 60% of birds. In other words, insects are the friend that does everything for you, but might not get the recognition or attention they deserve. Make 2022 the year that you pay attention to these underappreciated friends of ours.

Massachusetts is home to over 100 species of butterfly, as well as over 160 species of dragonfly and damselfly. There will be common species, whose natural beauty is often overlooked. But, who knows? We may even find something rare and never documented in the county.

For children ages 9 -12.  Registration required.
