Black Feather Horse Rescue and IndieFerm Brewing proudly present our second annual HAUNTED HIKE TO THE HORSES fundraiser to benefit Black Feather Horse Rescue (www.blackfeatherhorserescue.com
). People had so much fun last year that they asked us to do it again. This time, of course, we’ll be wearing face coverings and social distancing which is easy to do when you are walking in the woods. Wear your scary face covering to help ward off those evil spirits that might be lurking around in the woods.
Haunted Hike date is October 17 (rain date October 18) starting at 1:00 pm at IndieFerm (127 Camelot Drive, Plymouth). Enjoy snacks and a beer as we prepare to hike through the woods to Black Feather Horse Rescue; we’ll plan on leaving around 1:30. The rescue is about a 0.5 mile walk through the woods so wear your walking shoes.
Once we get to Black Feather Horse Rescue, you will get to meet the animals which include horses, donkies, ponies, llamas and pigs. You can also tour the famous Gilbert Trout Hatchery founded in 1869 (oldest fish hatchery in MA). We will be serving beer, kombucha, and root beer on site for quenching your thirst. We will spend about an hour at Black Feather before hiking back to IndieFerm. .
We are asking for a $30/adult donation to Black Feather Horse Rescue (kids free). This includes 2 drinks (beer, kombucha or root beer) and snacks. Reservation can be made at the IndieFerm tap room right up until the hike starts or send an email to email@example.com . If you just want to donate and don’t want to hike, that’s okay too. This is a family friendly event but dogs sometimes scare the horses so please, no doggies. Anyone that can’t hike can confirm parking with Darlene (see phone number below) but there is very limited parking.
It is really expensive feeding and caring for 24 large animals and we want to help Black Feather Horse Rescue continue their mission. All the funds raised will go to Black Feather Horse Rescue, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. IndieFerm is donating all the beer (including Black Feather Porter), kombucha, and root beer.
