Friends June Meeting- Discuss the new MASAC treatment center

Wednesday, June 7, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT

If any information is incorrect, please Submit an Event Correction

This month we will discuss the problems caused by the escapes from the newly opened addiction treatment facility in the forest. Many are concerned.

We will have a DCR representative with us to discuss the status.  We will also have  Michael Grant, Deputy Commisioner of Career and Professional Development for the Corrections Department join us.

The Friends of MSSF welcome anyone who uses Myles Standish State Forest to attend our monthly meetings.  We typically are discussing plans for upcoming trail work, hikes, birding events or one of our main annual events like the Fishing Derby, Photo Contest, Park Serve Day.  Last year, we were especially busy with the forest’s Centennial.

Each of the board members is a representative of one (or more) of the many different user groups in the forest:

• cross-country skiers

• hikers

• wildlife observers

• equestrians

• cottage owners

• bicyclists

• hunters and fishers

• campers

We cooperate to help make the forest a better place.

If you have a topic or ideas that you want to share at our board meeting, please contact Bill Vickstrom ([masked]) to get on our agenda.
