Join us on Wednesday, November 18th for an exciting virtual program by the musical ensemble Seven Times Salt.  They will be presenting a live demonstration, Pilgrims’ Progress: Music of the Plimoth Colony Settlers 1590-1645, for us at 7:00 pm including both footage and musical clips.  The presentation will follow the settlers from their homes in England’s cities and countryside, to religious refuge in the Netherlands, and onward to their challenging though fulfilling life in Plimoth Colony.

Join us to celebrate Plymouth’s 400th anniversary with music of the Elizabethan tavern and theater; spirited catches by Thomas Ravenscroft; selections from the Dutch ‘t Uitnement Kabinet, stirring psalms from Sternhold & Hopkins’ Whole Booke of Psalmes, and vigorous tunes from Playford’s The English Dancing Master. You’ll also hear fictitious “diary entries” of the colonists read aloud in Original Pronunciation, the English of Shakespeare, Queen Elizabeth I– and the Pilgrims!

Registration is required – follow this link to sign up.  Registrants will be emailed the link or Zoom details prior to the program.)
