Plymouth Select Board Chairman Ken Tavares has called an emergency meeting for 3 pm today with the Town Manager, Public Health Director, Board of Health, and all the Department Heads to discuss Plymouth’s designation as high risk for Coronavirus, particularly with the latest rise in case numbers that caused the Commonwealth to label the community as ‘red’ status for COVID-19. Chairman Tavares stated, “We are concerned that our case numbers are on the rise and need every member of our community to do their part. This is a door to door education effort – virtually”. The Town Executive Board and Board of Health members have continuously expressed their commitment to promoting a safe and healthy Plymouth and working together to make a difference. Town Manager Melissa Arrighi commented, “Vigilance, education and dedication is needed from everyone, now more than ever, to combat this trend and stop the spread. This historic meeting with the whole executive team and the Board of Health that was called by Chairman Tavares is really needed to brainstorm how we can make a change for this Town and help our residents stay healthy.” Residents and interested parties should tune in at 3 pm to Comcast Channel 15 or Verizon Channel 47 or go to https://pactv.org
