Barnicle and Husk, Plymouth’s favorite cat and mouse duo, are kicking-off ArtWeek with a fun-filled day at the Plimoth Waterworks Building at 26 Howland Street in Plymouth! Kids will have a blast with fun activities, games, and free activity handouts. Barnicle and Husk will meet and greet families and pose for photos following two book readings by Mary Shields, author of Barnicle and Husk: The Beginning at 11am and 1pm. Mary will sign copies of her books after each reading.
Adults and children alike will enjoy tours of our studio, comic book signings, designing a wine bottle label, and artwork demonstrations by some of Plymouth’s most talented local artists! Representatives from TrueRad Designs will display and sell their merchandise. Linda Coombs, Wampanoag Advisor and Consultant for Barnicle and Husk, as well as an accomplished Aquinnah Wampanoag artist, will demonstrate her traditional beadwork, leatherwork, and weaving from 11:30-3:30pm.
