Last night I dropped off my absentee mail-in ballot at the drop box at Town Hall (pictured below – map is above). No matter how you’re voting, the deadline is Tuesday at 8 p.m.

If you have an absentee/mail-in ballot, town hall has to receive it by 8 p,m. Tuesday – so, if you put it in the mail Monday – you take the chance it may not get there Tues., and so it won’t be counted.  The postmark date doesn’t mean anything – according to the state of MA – the ballot must be RECEIVED by Tues. at 8 p.m. to be counted,  Please note that you cannot drop off these ballots at the polls Tuesday.

Here’s what you should do: drop off your completed ballot at the Town Hall silver drop box as soon as you can. The box is by what has been described as the Town Hall main entrance (uphill entrance, across from new parking garage…pictured in map above).

You will need to fold the ballot to have it fit through the drop box slot – that is OK.

NOTE: Your vote won’t be counted if it is POSTMARKED by Tuesday…it must be RECEIVED by 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Thanks for participating!  Even in a pandemic, voting matters!
